Humble beginnings of Bonardi Associates🚗

In the spring of 1985, Bonardi Associates was born from the living room of a small red cabin in rural New England. That unassuming home doubled as our first office. Orders were written out by hand. Phone calls came in over a landline with a long cord stretched across the kitchen table. The station wagon out front? That was our first company vehicle, hauling product literature, specs, and pumps across New England.

John Bonardi, our founder, didn’t start with much, just a deep knowledge of pumps, a tireless work ethic, and a belief that even the smallest rep firm could make a big impact if it focused on integrity, expertise, and service. He hit the road meeting engineers, plant managers, and OEMs across the region, offering reliable products backed by honest support. One by one, customers started to take notice.

The early years were scrappy. There were no websites or internet. Just a Rolodex, a map, and a passion for problem-solving. John built relationships the old-fashioned way, by showing up, following through, and doing right by the customer.

Nearly four decades later, BA Associates has grown far beyond that little cabin. We now represent some of the industry’s leading manufacturers of pumps, blowers, heat exchangers, and cooling towers across the Northeast. But we’ve never forgotten where we came from or the values that built our reputation.
